Four Tet
Born in England in 1977, Kieran Hebden began his musical career as a member
of the post-rock trio Fridge, formed at Elliott School in Putney.
Since 1998, he has adopted the moniker Four Tet for his solo projects, which
blend electronic music with jazz, folk, hip-hop, and experimental sampling.
His breakthrough album, Rounds (2003), is widely regarded by critics as a landmark in electronic music for its fusion of organic and electronic sounds.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with or remixed internationally acclaimed artists — including Radiohead, Aphex Twin, and Burial — consistently demonstrating an ability to reinvent himself while maintaining a distinctive sonic identity.
Four Tet, founder of the independent label Text Records, is widely recognized as one of the leading figures in contemporary electronic music, known for balancing sonic experimentation with melodic accessibility. His music transcends genres and generations, influencing both producers and listeners across the indie and dance worlds.
